Cuban Oregano Care Tips

Cuban Oregano
🌿
Cuban Oregano comes in a couple different varieties, the most common that I’ve seen is the variegated version, (picture below) I also personally know it is super hardy loves full sun, is forgiving about pot space and it’s watering needs.
Who doesn’t love that?
Along with being such a forgiving plant it also is very easy to propigate.
Can it get any better? Why yes it can,
Another amazing attribute this plant has is it’s culinary use. You can simply use the raw leaves to make tea🍵…seep the fresh clean leaves in hot water as a tea bag, add some honey, lemongrass, chamomile you name it and proceed to drink its flavorful goodness to make your morning or evening.
If you want to dry the leaves (something I personally do) you can create spice rubs, stew seasonings, make flavorful marinades or even pestos! (PESTO IS GREAT). A grilled chicken pesto sandwich made with fresh bread, a drizzle of balsamic and a fresh slice of tomato can make anyone’s day. Maybe it will make mine or yours tomorrow 😉.
